Taskforce: eFTI implementation for Combined Transport

On 15 January 2015, the UIRR gathered a taskforce composed of its members and the BRIDGE partners to unfold the Regulation (EU) 2020/1056 on electronic freight transport information (eFTI) which entered into force in August 2020. 

The objectives of the taskforce are the following: 

• Understand how the Regulation is currently enforced, both as intented by law and in practice in intermodal operations,
• Assess the digital messages that would offer evidence for the enforcement,
• Assess the costs and opportunity costs associated with compliance with the Regulation. 

Through SWOT analyses and direct discussions with participants, we sought to gain a better understanding of regulatory issues and stakeholders' views on the subject and its implications.
