The main goal of BRIDGE is to support the digitalisation of the European intermodal freight sector. The project will assist the community to implement the new TSI Telematics from a door-to-door perspective.
BRIDGE aims to improve and strengthen the rail-road-maritime data sharing among intermodal stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency of door-to-door intermodal freight services.
Strengthened interoperability will reinforce intermodal services making them more appealing to end customers, such as logistics service providers and shippers, and contribute to the growth of the European rail freight industry as a whole.

BRIDGE will analyse the current state of data sharing in the intermodal freight transport ecosystem, with a state-of-the-art review, process analysis, and gap identification.
BRIDGE will test implementable solutions by upgrading telematics applications used in daily operations by intermodal stakeholders with a particular focus on end-customers, operators and terminal managers
BRIDGE will also deliver governance and business models, standardisation and cost-benefit analyses, focusing on including SMEs and lowering entry barriers. The project will design implementation guidelines and a realistic roadmap that are aligned with TSI Telematics regulations.
Building on previous European CEF-funded projects such as EDICT, Digital Train 1.0 and 2.0, BRIDGE will contribute to improving digitalisation and integration from a door-to-door perspective. It will facilitate the exchange and integration of key TAF TSI messages within the intermodal digital freight ecosystem.
On 27 February 2026, all BRIDGE partners came together to share updates on the project's first milestones and current activities.
We invited railway companies and intermodal stakeholders for a second workshop on data sharing.
On 27 January 2026, the BRIDGE Project gathered the IT Platform providers from the sector for a workshop .
